𝘋𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘺𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘺𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘶𝘴, better known as pillar coral, is considered one of the most primitive corals and is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. This coral forms colonies with characteristic pillar-shaped structures, which can reach several meters in height, displaying brown, gray or yellowish colors. Populations of this coral have been severely impacted by the Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD). Help save this species!
Dendrogyra cylindrus
You can adopt baby fragments from coral species, or other hervivores for you or your loved ones, and help us recreate a diverse and resilient Caribbean reef!
ADOPT VS DONATE: DIFFERENCES
Adopting a reef creature directly supports the growth and restoration of coral reefs by nurturing them until they are ready to enrich our Caribbean's biodiversity.
Donating, however, provides broader support for ISER Caribe's mission, including research, outreach and education programs, and the vital work of our team members.
